Rudraprayag leopard again !

The Rudraprayag District is well known for  leopards . We have heard of the famous Jim Corbett who after many failures finally succeeded in shooting the man eater of that area-I mean Rudraprayag. Man-eaters still roam in the area and incident still happens. On saturday night a toddler named Rishika was snatched away by a leopard from her front yard. No trace except a drop of blood was found near her home. The villagers demanded it to be declared as a man-eater and hence either trap or eliminate the big cat. Vaibhav Singh the DFO of Rudraprayag said as the villagers were scared and worried we have to either trap or kill it. In this respect two shooters Joy Hukki and Zahir Baksh are deployed.

Recycled Olympic medals.

The Tokyo Games will loose many features of an  Olympics. It will probably be noted in history as the weirdest Games played  with empty stands and devoid of all glamours. There will be changes in the making of medals too. Recycled materials from used consumer electronic goods- such as- digital cameras, laptops, games consoles etc. will be used. General public, electronics shops, schools too donated in yellow donation boxes set up in Post Offices & Street corners. The Japanese public themselves donated around 6,21 millions old mobiles.

Rats chew ugent cash.

A farmer accumulated Rs2 lakes by selling vegetables on  his two-wheeler. He sweated out with the sole purpose for saving money for his abdominal surgery. Redya Naik the farmer from Vemunur village in Mahabub- Abad district kept his hard earned money in a cotton bag. He further kept the bag in his almirah which he thought was safe. He even had to borrow cash from his relatives for the said surgery. All the money was of Rs500/- notes as that was the only way he could think of. He was shocked to find all that money shredded to pieces by rats. Finding no other ways he took all the pieces to the bank for replacement.  The bank unfortunately refused !!

He stood alone !

He is around 26/27 years old , tall and stout with a good figure. He is wearing a blue jeans but without any dark glasses. I could see him from my balcony clearly and distinctly standing on the opposite footpath. He is a handsome young man and there is no doubt  about it. Handsome elegant and well composed wearing  a red shirt which along with the jeans looked terribly attractive. But for whom has he been waiting for ?  After half an hour he suddenly seems uncomfortable for some reason unknown to me. Was he waiting for his fiancee ? Perhaps he is been kept waiting for reasons only known to her ! For few moments I moved away from my balcony to come back again. My sight of course fell on the same spot where the young man stood impatiently. There was no one and I thought she must have come and they together went to their  chosen  place. My heart leapt up to see once again the same young man but little upset - standing on the same spot. He took out a cigarette from his packet and vehementl

Tokyo shows the way.

Olympics without any spectators ? Without any deafening walls of noise ?  Yes it has almost become unimaginable. But thanks to the prevailing Covid situation everything seems possible.    Thanks however to Japan for declaring Covid emergency in its capital. No wonder the participating Countries will be missing the overcrowded stands and ovations. Roger Federer, Simon Biles,PV Sindhu , Bajrang Punia & others will find it a trying time without all the cheers of  their supporters.

Parents in Classroom-Children at home !

It has been quite for a long time that online classes are held. The reason is well known to all. Covid-19 has compelled us to adapt ourselves according to the  changed situation.     So we parents including our children too have to stay at home to avoid the virous. In other words our house became our 5 years old kid's classroom. And we are to be very cautious of our steps. Especially we grandparents as our children too are busy with their online work from home.    Today all of a sudden my granddaughter complained. She was embarrassed as classroom friends were  laughing while I was opening the door behind to go out. They went on saying " Funny Dadu ...funny Dadu ...." She gave me the supreme order not to be seen in her classroom !!

Places such as Digida Kondapalli & Lodpalli villages of the district have often witnessed their presence !

She offers mangalsutra as bribe.

A mangalsutra is used by women as a symbol of her marriage and a  sacred commitment made during the  ritual. Never is one expected  to pawn it or use it in any other commercial manner. A woman who was facing trouble with her land issue hung her mangalsutra to the door of the tahsildar's office. It was hung there with the purpose of bribing the official.  Collector Krishna Bhaskar however asked officials to investigate the matter and submit a report immediately.
