Mirza Galib in North Calcutta.
Yes Mirza Ghalib, the famous Urdhu poet, lived in North Calcutta's Ramdulal Sarkar Street near Girish Chandra Dey & Nakur Chandra Nandy. His love for the city is mentioned in one of his creation Safar-e-Kolkattah. Finally he left for Lucknow or rather was compelled to leave. He would have stayed in Calcutta since he thought it was a'Kamal ki jagah.'He further said 'Bangali 100 saal peachhe bhi jetein hai aur 100 saal aage bhi.'
