Intellectuals misguiding Society !
Probably no one will disagree that a debate on the above subject was inevitable. In fact those who seldom bothers to give a serious thought to such issues -too might be tempted to vent out their anger and frustration-given the opportunity ! Of course some might think otherwise. History of Calcutta ?
Whenever the history of Calcutta is discussed, something new emerges. Usually serious historians becomes rather sceptical when attending such seminars.They probably disbelieve anything published or discussed recentely. Hence it will be interesting to hear what P.T.Nair or Avik Roy says at Sutanuti Parishad on 6th October'12 at Sovabazar Nat Mandir at 6pm regarding the said subject. The present family of this renowned house consists of Barrister, Advocate, Artist, Teachers (Including IIT Kharagpur), Poets, Lyrists, Musicians , Organisers,Engineers, Bussinessmen. Further the house is well known for playing important role in organising Sutanuti Parishad, Old Calcutta Musical Society Etc. Of course many family members stay aboard but regularly keep in touch with their root !!
