A creative person ?
After graduation he was doing his masters. He was in business then, trying to manage his late life education. He prepared for his MA final but was unable to appear. The reason for this was the Admit Card. from Calcutta University, which failed to come at the right time. Frustrated he left the education world and concentrated in business.
Being a musician he,now, made an attempt to enter the music world. He recorded eight songs (composed and put to music by himself) on great personalities of India. They were Swami Vivekananda, Vidyasagar, Satyendra Nath Bose, Indira Gandhi, Kapil Dev, Satyajit Roy, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Hemanta Mukherjee. As far as he knew no-one before had attempted children songs on such a scheme on important Indian personalities. The sale of the Cassettes were good as the company reported-though he himself received no royalty.
Now he tried to concentrate his mind in his business. His creativity never allowed him to deal with any single product.Hence he tried to do business in rubber products such as
Rubberising steel rollers, rubber lining in vats and tanks & other items.Later he was also lining with lead, pvc, fiberglass etc.
He even tried his hand in Catering business.
Now he started getting enquiries in Electroplating machines. Soon he began supplying plant & machines to various companies. In the meanwhile he was also supplying Rubber Plant machines. In fact he tried his hand in manufacturing Mini Rubber Mixing Mill.
Apart from this he also tried to build a social site somewhat similar to present day Facebook.
He reasoned with his College Street Coffee House friends that they could easily publish their literary works in any renowned publication. His business will sponsor it as a work of Art.
Not satisfied with such works, he thought of doing a monopoly business. Hence he probably became a pioneer in Chowmin/Noodle Plant & Machineries in India. His Chowmin sheet cutting machines were much in demand throughout India, South Africa, Bangladesh, Nepal etc.
His restlessness now tried to organise a Dover Lane Music Conference type Indian Classical Music organisation.Emminent persons joined the club. He is still the secretary while Acharya Amiya Ranjan Bandyopadhyay, the President. At least three functions in Indian Classical Music & Dance are held in a year.
His interest in Theatre helped him to translate 'The Doctor's Dilemma' by George Bernard Shaw.He also wrote 'Judhister Porbo' a drama for youngsters & gave direction.
