Fireworks at Chatu Babu's Bazar - Kolkata

People flocked around to watch the remarkable fireworks at

Chatu Babu's Bazar. It was a date for most Calcuttans whose

long association with this traditional fireworks almost became

a passion. Begun by two brothers( better known as Chatu Babu

& Latu Babu) more than 180 years ago -it continued till a few 

years back.

Many eminent personalities including foreign tourists witnessed it

during Kali Puja.

Wonder if this wonderful Old Calcutta tradition could be revived with more

light & lesser sound !
