Christie's failure ?
One cannot help but be shocked to know that sculptures and
paintings by Degas and Picasso remained unsold inspite of
Christie's highly charged marketing.
Probably collectors are more bent towards surrealist art
and that maybe the reason why Max Ernst's "The Stolen Mirror"
painted in or around 1941 in US- made a kill by becoming the
topmost seller !
